Yes. PPS is one of very few practice management systems that can run offline. Add PPS Hybrid Resilience to your online PPS to keep a synced copy on your own device, or choose PPS Onsite to run PPS entirely on your clinic's devices.
Hybrid Resilience is an add-on for online PPS and PPS Express. You keep working online, with a synced copy on your device for when you need it. PPS Onsite is a full offline installation, where your clinic's devices hold all of your data, either alongside an online system or as your main database.
Our team does it for you. We'll arrange access to the device or devices you choose, install PPS with a copy of your database, and set up PPS Sync so both copies stay up to date.
Open PPS on the device it's installed on, log in with your normal PPS username and password, and work as normal. There's nothing to set up on the day. Once service is restored, PPS Sync updates your online PPS with any changes you've made.
Everything in your PPS database, as long as the copy is kept in sync. Make sure the device it's installed on is switched on and used regularly, so PPS Sync can run.
Yes. PPS Sync works both ways, so notes, appointments and other changes made in your resilience copy update your online PPS once service returns. Nothing needs re-entering.

Nothing is completely immune, but software on your own devices can't be reached by the large-scale online attacks that affect internet-facing services. Protect those devices with encryption, strong passwords and regular updates.
Your clinic does, because your data sits on your own devices. We're happy to advise on good practice, but access, updates and physical security are managed by the clinic.
